Seven Year Statement (SYS) System Studies
Performed AC, DC thermal load flow and fault level studies using DigSilent Power Factory to model for the first time with this software suite the full GB system for the 2011 Seven Year Statement (SYS) submission.
This included reporting on zonal system transfers, interconnectors, installed generation, demand, new generation and generation closures up to and including the period 2020. Examined likely system reinforcement options as well as the accompanying narratives to be written to be included in the SYS.
Developed setup files for boundary zonal system transfers, including system topology and system outages.
Created and executed AC and DC thermal load flow studies using generation background data to 2011, 2013 and 2015 year scenarios, for boundaries B11, B12, B13, B16 and B17.
Created and executed AC Voltage Compensation studies using generation background data to 2011, 2013 and 2015 year scenarios, for boundaries B11, B12, B13, B16 and B17.
Created and executed AC Voltage Collapse and AC Voltage Compliance studies, as per SQSS, using generation background data to 2011, 2013 and 2015 year scenarios, for boundaries B11, B12, B13, B16 and B17.
Created and executed fault level for 1 and 3 phase studies using generation background data to 2011, 2013 and 2015 year scenarios, for boundaries B11, B12, B13, B16 and B17. Studies were repeated to include modifications at West Burton & Cottam 400 kV Substation upgrades undertaken during 2015.
